Whether it’s looking at a plan view of a room, or profile of a rack, users can easily identify potential problems areas.

How it Works

The Dynamic Heat Map combines the best of Purkay Labs’ environmental monitors
and our cutting edge software to visualize your airflow.



Deploy multiple AUDIT-BUDDY stands across the room.  Each stand contains three sensors to
measure at three different heights. The number of stands depends on the fidelity of information required.

Whether you buy, rent or use Purkay Labs’ Service, Purkay Labs will generate a custom Dynamic Heat Map report, as well as individual .gif file(s) that can be used in reports and presentations.


Step 3:

Once the data is collected, Purkay Labs will generate a custom layout of the facility.
Then, our team members will generate a Dynamic Heat Map, and Report.

Real Life Applications

In April 2019, Purkay Labs conducted an on-site assessment of a newly commissioned enterprise Data Center. During this assessment, the team deployed 24 AUDIT-BUDDY stands every 4.5 feet. Each stand collected temperature and humidity data every minute for 10 hours, as the Data Center operators and Commissioning Engineers shut down different CRAC units to study the effect on the data hall environment. The images below show the environmental impact when all CRAC units were turned off, and then re-started.

The Room Heat Map is a horizontal (bird’s eye) view of the heat distribution across the room. Use to characterize and validate how the room is operating. Purkay Labs offers two types of map: Static Room Heat Map and a Dynamic Room Heat Map.
